This differs from state to state.  In Arizona, social betting is legal.  That means there is no problem with an office sports pool unless the employer objects.  It also means when a few friends get together to play poker, they aren’t breaking the law.

I thought betting in football pools was illegal? I was told this along time ago, in California, and in a workplace....so maybe the rules are different now & here?
