I still keep IE around. One needs it to download the never-ending stream of security patches and bug fixes from M$. Using two browsers is tiresome. I’ve minimized the pane by keeping shortcuts to both on the Quick Launch toolbar. I’ve never stored bookmarks/favorites in a browser so that’s a non-issue.
