To all Cacher’s This is to let you know that the Geocaching community has lost another family member. Charlie Biehn aka Cubpilot past away this morning (August 10, 2009) at 6:00am in Dayton Ohio, after a long battle with leukemia. Cubpilot has been a member of the caching community since he joined on Saturday, December 24, 2005. His first cache hide was Things Are Not As They Seem (GCTMKD). The ones that he is most famous for here in Ohio are Charlie's First Cruel Cache (GCV2Z0), this one drove cachers crazy. Most cachers that attempted this one usually had to go back 2 or 3 times to be able to find it. Charlie would get a kick reading the logs on that one. Yes he had so much fun with that one that he put out another one called Charlie's Second Cruel Cache (GCVM1Q). This one was a little easier to find than the first one, but still made you crazy with trying to find it, and Charlie laughing. Charlie spends most winter’s caching in Arizona with caching partner orygun connie, if not there then they are usually back home in Ohio or traveling in their motor home caching the states. By the way Charlie and orygun connie has cached every U. S. state. He enjoyed flying his 1946 Piper Cub, golfing, 4x4ing; Charlie could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. Like Jeep rock crawling in Moab desert in Utah. He enjoyed traveling and seeing the world, his family and of course geocaching. Now he is enjoying flying the heavens with the wings that God has given him. He also enjoyed meeting and sharing stories with everyone he met. He always told a good story and was a gentle man. He had such courage and hope. He understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives, and he lived his life by that. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him. Don't know what plans are yet but service may be this coming Saturday but nothing firm yet. Charlie really enjoyed Arizona caching and wheeling--He and I met because of my 'Lost Cemetery" cache, and as they say, the rest was history. I miss him very much-- Connie
