Subject: [Az-Geocaching] Geocaching and
National Security
Ok. What exactly do these two 'interests'
have in common? NOTHING. My point is this...my fear now is that
this has come from such a level in government that geocaches are being
removed in the name of National Security because caches could be used by
terrorists to swap materials and what-not for different events.

The Patriot Act is a prime example of someone
who is a bit too power hungry looking for more ways to control the citizens
and give blanket approval for violating civil rights. Who is to say
this isn't some right-wing offshoot of that and that some overly paranoid
paper pusher isn't looking for a new way to control, and something different
to oppress?
[/soapbox]
I know, this could be a stretch, but at the
same time it's so odd that it might actually be true!
On a side note, can anyone confirm whether or
not this type of 'policing' is taking place anywhere else in the
country?
