Not that I have a problem with the idea of this cache, I do see it as 'commercial'.  It mentions right in the cache description that an entry fee will be charged for those wishing to attend.  If REI (or similar) were to do something like this, it would never be approved and we would all complain about it.

The difference between this one and the BOB event or the DBG cache (which also require admission) is that those caches are put out by a geocacher with nothing to gain from others attending.  This event is sponsored by the Museum and gains everything from cachers attending.

Before you go and criticize, let me say that I have visited the Museum before and paid my entry fee.  Several times.  But in the case of caches, I don't think it's appropriate.  Hold it on Sunday when there is no admission required.

What a great idea! There are some problems with the cache as it's currently described, not the least of which is the conflict with the Campout event cache. I've sent a note to Kristy Miller letting her know about the conflict, and a couple of other items I thought might be clarified. I've also offered to work with her or the museum if they need any help with it.

I'd love to see this be something that gets huge attendance, particularly from the Phoenix area cachers. I'm also hoping that perhaps they can change the date so it doesn't fall on the holiday weekend. I wonder if the Republic would cover it?
