Best idea I got... cause I don't want to spend a lot of time on it :)
goto www.xchat.org and download the windows version of the software
for the configuration:
the server is irc.azgeocaching.com
the port # is 6666

That will get you connected and you shouldn't have any problems after 
that... unless you computer just plain doesn't want you chatting.
