The funny part about what you said, is that in reality, a sharp knife is much much safer than a dull one. When they are sharp you don't have to apply as much pressure to do the same work, you are much less likely to have them suddently slip and cut you, and if you do get cut the cut is much more smooth and will heal much faster, than a dull knife cut.
