Cheryl, I wasn't going to say anything else about this, but because I consider us friends, I want to answer your comments. And publically, I wish people to hear it. I agree, this did somehow become a "battleground" but I certainly NEVER intended that. My ORIGINAL post about "Oasis", while mentioning "almost getting shot" was mainly an ongoing comment about signing logs and a joke to Larry that he didn't sign the log (at least we couldn't find it). What happened after that (the next post) I had nothing to do with and agree it should have been taken private. I feel my comments in the log and here were not complete (not meant to be, I had no idea it would be examined so closely) and were picked apart and taken out of context by someone who is understandably sensitive about his shooting hobby. (Scott, please, we have settled, I am not trying to start up again.) I never intended this to get like this; I did want to warn people to be careful around that cache, as it could have been a problem. How would everybody have felt if you had heard in the news about a newly married couple being shot while doing a thing called "geocaching" in the desert? I'm sure you will agree, knowing how sensible you and Cody are, that warning of POSSIBLE danger is something that is everybody's responsibility. What went from a warning/post/partly joke has now been labelled a "scandle" (scandal), which is a bit....well, I don't want to get anybody else defending their turf. So, I apologize for the terrible, horrid, absolutely awful "scandal/battleground." It was never intended. But, you can always UNSUBSCRIBE if you don't like reading different people's views/opinions. It is a free country. Peace to you all, Merry Christmas, and I certainly hope this is the end of this!!
