So far, there has only been one cache that we have found but were unable to 
log the book.  If I would have read the most recent logs online I would 
have known that I needed to take a pen with me, but I was using cache 
sheets that were about a month old.  I did take pictures to confirm that we 
were actually there, and made trades.

I do tend to agree though.  There might be a legitimate reason to not log 
the book, but I think that the book should be signed for it to be listed as 
a find.
