I bought my first car in 1983 - a sorry looking 1964
VW Beetle that ran well but looked horrible. That car
was going to be my project, but I moved out of the
country before getting started. The first time my
brother laid eyes on my pride n' joy, he said, "That
thing looks like a highway havoc. The name stuck.

When my wife and/or critters accompany me, we go by
the name The PD Clan. This came from a shortened
Pederson, and the book "Clan of the Cave Bear" by Jean
M. Auel.
