Scott: I'm not sure if any of the responses address you original question so I'll take a shot at it. I'll assume you are going through town on 10 and that you don't want to stray too far from the highway. Here are some ideas: There are two on the SW side that are close to each other and quite easy to get to. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=11698 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=9322 On the SE side these are fairly easy although a little more spread out. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=10020 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=2237 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=8450 There is a cluster around ASU. You could have lunch near Sneaky Peak, but 'A' mountain is a climb. These might take more time. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=9579 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=5314 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=658 There are a few around the zoo area. I think each of these involve a short walk, but might be a good break. You can park at the same spot for the second & third one. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=10530 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=8714 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=7787 If you find the right coordinates for this one, you won't be far from the highway in Tempe. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=11147 This ought to give you some ideas.
